Pro: The
daylight in May is long as it is close to Summer. Averagely sunrise at 6am and
sunset at 9pm, yet it is still consider low peak season. Making it a month
where you can travel longer with lesser crowd.
Con: The
weather in UK during May might be cold and wet. Expect to have some cold &
rainy day. Be prepared with rain cloths

Most of our
stays are with airbnb. In UK, bed & breakfast is very popular and common,
therefore, most of our stays was very nice and accommodating. As we are
traveling with baby, some of the host do provide highchair, crib & most
important! TOYS! Making my baby occupied and our life easier.
Always make the
reservation in advance as in UK, reservation is important if you want to dine
in nice place, stay in nice accommodation. I booked my accommodation 2 months
in advance and I missed out a lot nicer Airbnb which I would love to stay.

Renting a car
to travel outside of city is very convenience. First, we no need to worry on
carrying the luggage around, especially when we check in different places every
day. Second, you can access to anywhere without worrying if there is any public
transport around. Lastly, it gives us a lot of flexibility in time especially
traveling with a baby.
Talking about
baby, you need a car seat with ECE R44/04 approval label if you want to travel
with a baby. I bring a second hand car seat all the way from Malaysia because
it is very costly to rent it from the car rental company.
Also, in
Europe, the basic insurance covers your car with around GBP 2000 excess.
Meaning you still need to bare a GBP 2000 responsibility if any accident
happens. So, please always top up with additional insurance to make it zero
excess for the peace of mind when traveling.
